INNISFAIL – Mounties are no longer asking for public assistance to locate a missing 15-year-old teen from Innisfail.

"Innisfail RCMP are pleased to report that Brody Cookson has been located safe. We would like to thank the public and media for their assistance," RCMP Cpl. Troy Savinkoff said in a media release issued this afternoon, Nov. 9.

RCMP issued a media release on Nov. 8 asking for the public's help in locating Cookson. According to police, he had not been seen since Nov. 7 in Bowden.

“Innisfail RCMP wish to locate Brody to confirm his well-being,” said Savinkoff in yesterday's press release.

The Innisfail teen is described as five-feet, seven-inches tall weighing 140 pounds. He has green eyes and blonde hair.

Cookson was last seen wearing a blue New York Yankee hat and a Nike top.

Anyone who had been in contact with the teen or had information on his whereabouts were asked to contact the Innisfail RCMP at 403-227-3342.

If citizens wished to remain anonymous, they could contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), online at www.P3Tips.com or by using the P3 Tips app available through the Apple App or Google Play Store.
