Cremona resident supportive of new signs

I am writing in response to the Cremona sign article. I have spoken to a few of the chamber of commerce members and am excited about the new sign. I don’t believe that the cost of re-branding the sign is such a big deal or expense in Cremona. We are not even close to the same size as Calgary.

Cremona council spends tax dollars on far more frivolous things than this and if the chamber is going to build three signs and cover any additional cost, it is a bonus to the taxpayers. At worst, if the chamber used every dime, it would only cost the taxpayers $11,000. The previous council budgeted $20,000 for two signs that never got built.

The chamber wants to have a letter board at the bottom to let people on the highways know what’s going on. Maybe that will give people a reason to stop.

T0M 0R0 is unique to Cremona. I see no reason not to use it. Maybe if some positive things start happening in Cremona, we will grow into the Town of T0M 0R0.
